The Dunkerbeck Pro Center offers water sport enthusiasts a unique opportunity to experience the easiest imaginable windsurfing! Imagine waist-deep waters stretching for over 2km engulfed in constant strong winds! It promises windsurf safety for beginners and only fun for professionals!

Founded by Bjorn Dunkerbeck and Philippe Bru in partnership with Sorobon Beach Resort. Bjorn Dunkerbeck is a windsurf legend, holding 42 World Titles, as well as the Nautical Speed Mile record, and the World Record for Open Ocean Speed. Philippe Bru, the CEO and founder of the Philippe Bru Organization, is known in the windsurfing world as the founder of the DefiWind. Two years the event travelled across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and, with the help of Bjorn, has been taking place on Bonaire, as well!

Services and amenities

At Dunkerbeck Pro Center you can rent Entry, Premium and Professional gear from Goya, Starboard and Simmerstyle.
Entry - 260 to 114 liter boards with a soft pad on the deck and evolutive foot strap positions. Light rig in monofilm or dacron with a reduced diameter mast and skinny boom.
Premium - 95 to 145 free-ride and free-race boards with full carbon construction. The lightest you can find in a windsurf school! Large choice of sails: freestyle, free-ride, free-race and wave from the year.
Professional - Pure slalom freestyle and wave full carbon boards available in all sizes. Freestyle sails with 85% carbon masts and skinny carbon booms. Racing sails with 2 or 4 cambers of 6.5 to 7.8 m2 with wide carbon race booms and 100% carbon masts.

The center offers lessons for beginners, private advanced lessons, as well as professional training with a headset.

Dunkerbeck Pro Center is one of the few locations on the island, where guests can learn and practice windfoiling with the newest Starboard and Goya gear.

There are monthly windsurf boat tours and kids clinics organized. Dates are announced on the website and in the center.

How to get there

Dunkerbeck Pro Center is located on the premises of Sorobon beach Resort. The resort is located a short 20-minute drive from the center of the capital, Kralendijk, in the East of the island. From the airport, you can reach the center in 15 minutes.

Bonaire has one airport called Flamingo Airport. The airlines that fly directly to Flamingo Airport in Kralendijk, Bonaire are American Airlines (Miami, USA), TUI (Amsterdam, NL), KLM (Amsterdam, NL), United Airlines (Newark and Houston, USA), Delta Airlines (Atlanta, USA), Sunwing Airlines (Toronto, CA), Aruba Airlines (Oranjestad, Aruba), Insel Air (Willemstad, Curacao), Divi Divi Air (Willemstad, Curacao).
